Data & Methodology
Transparency is the foundation of KillBill. Here's where our numbers come from, how often we update them, and who stands behind them.
Where our data comes from
The fitness and prevention contributions shown are based on the official tables of Switzerland's two certification bodies — QualiCert (as of 12 Dec 2025, contribution year 2026) and the SFGV Fitness-Guide (valid until 31 Dec 2026) — plus insurers' own product information. Where sources differ, we show the documented figure and flag uncertainty.
How we calculate
We show the maximum possible annual contribution per insurer. With multiple sources we use the higher, documented figure. Importantly: headline maximums (e.g. CHF 1,300 at SWICA) are sometimes only reachable by combining several supplementary products — we state this transparently rather than advertising the biggest headline.
Currency
Insurers adjust contributions yearly, usually for the autumn premium round. We update the data continuously and show a visible "last updated" date on the relevant pages.
Editorial principles
KillBill is independent: we don't sell health insurance and don't favour any insurer. Our comparison lists every covered insurer with its actual contribution. Insurance information is carefully researched but is not a substitute for your insurer's binding statement — always check your specific policy before purchasing.
